Xenia von Buchwald
Co-Founder and InstructorXenia von Buchwald is a visual artist specialising in the classical-realist tradition. She graduated from the Florence Academy of Art in 2019, and also trained in architecture at the Royal Danish Academy's School of Architecture — giving her a strong understanding of form, structure, space and proportion.
She works primarily in classical-realist drawing and oil painting, uniting precise observation of the subject with a deep understanding of form, light and value.
Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including at Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Frederiksborg Castle. After her training she moved to Svendborg, where she studied for three years under the artist Charles Weed, continuing her immersion in the classical atelier tradition.
Xenia von Buchwald er uddannet billedkunstner med speciale i den klassisk-realistiske tradition og dimitterede fra The Florence Academy of Art i 2019.
Hun er desuden uddannet inden for arkitektur fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademis Arkitektskole, hvilket har givet hende en stærk forståelse for form, struktur, rum og proportion.

Filip Marcus von Buchwald
Co-Founder and InstructorFilip Marcus von Buchwald is a visual artist trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Gothenburg, specialising in classical-realist drawing and painting.
Over his three years of training he worked intensively on drawing and painting from the live model in long-form sessions, alongside classical studies of plaster casts, painting and still life.
After his training he moved to Svendborg, where he studied for three years under the artist Charles Weed, continuing his work within the classical atelier tradition. His teaching is grounded in classical craft, where observation, proportion, form, light and value form the basis of the artistic work.
Filip Marcus von Buchwald er uddannet billedkunstner fra The Florence Academy of Art i Göteborg med speciale i klassisk-realistisk tegning og maleri.
Gennem sine tre års uddannelse arbejdede han intensivt med tegning og maleri efter levende model i længerevarende sessions samt med klassiske studier af gipsafstøbninger, maleri og stilleben.
Efter endt uddannelse flyttede han til Svendborg, hvor han i tre år studerede under kunstneren Charles Weed og videreførte sit arbejde med den klassiske ateliertradition.
I first met Filip while taking his academic cast drawing class at a previous school, which I then just kept retaking for as long as it was offered. That year not only taught me more about technique than my previous lifetime of mostly self-study, but has helped redefine my relationship with art, both other people's and mine.
